Baltic architectural mesh: room dividers in Museum of Islamic Art

Museum of Islamic Art

Semi-transparent room dividers made of architectural mesh provide structure for spaces in the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar and generate dynamic spatial effects.

Array ( [post_type] => calendar [orderby] => meta_value [meta_key] => event_dates_%_event_end [order] => ASC [posts_per_page] => 1 [meta_query] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [key] => event_dates_%_event_end [compare] => >= [type] => DATE [value] => 2017-12-18 ) ) [post__in] => Array ( [0] => ) )

With two storey-high layers of Baltic design mesh each, areas are visually partitioned and quiet areas created. Architect Wilmotte intentionally uses the moiré effect here to incorporate a sense of flowing movement. The use of Fusiomesh clevis screws to mount the architectural mesh enables precise adjustment of the semi-transparent mesh panels.
